Metricool review: the one dashboard that keeps two brands’ socials from eating my week

Our verdict · Metricool

4.3/ 5

One tab to schedule, track, and report on every account — the closest thing to a social-media day off I’ve found.

I schedule and track the social accounts for more than one brand from a single Metricool dashboard, so I’ll say the useful part first: if you’re juggling more than one account, this is the tool that gives you your week back.

The reason it earns the tab is consolidation. You plan every network — Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, a Google Business profile — from one calendar, and the analytics and best-time-to-post suggestions live in the same place you schedule. You’re not stitching three tools together to answer “how did we do.” The auto-generated reports alone save me the monthly scramble, and the free plan is genuinely usable, not a demo.

Where it costs you is the edges. Some networks and the nicer analytics sit behind higher tiers, the data can occasionally lag or ask you to reconnect an account, and the “best time to post” is a smart guess, not a guarantee — a starting point, not gospel. The price also climbs as you add brands and connections, so it pays off precisely when you’re running more than one account, and less so when you’re not.

The scorecard

What works

  • +Plan every network from a single calendar
  • +Analytics and best-time-to-post live where you schedule
  • +Auto-generated reports kill the monthly “how did we do” scramble
  • +Competitor tracking, plus a free plan that’s actually usable

What doesn’t

  • Some networks and analytics are gated to higher tiers
  • Data can lag or need an account reconnect now and then
  • “Best time to post” is a helpful guess, not a guarantee
  • Cost climbs as you add brands and connections

Who should not buy this

Skip it if you only post to one platform once in a while — that network’s own scheduler is free and enough. And if you need agency-grade analytics or multi-step approval workflows for a big team, a heavier tool like Sprout Social will fit you better, and you’ll feel Metricool’s ceiling.
